When you have heart trouble, every second counts. Montgomery Hospital is the only hospital in central Montgomery County providing cardiac stenting that treats your heart attack while it’s happening. 

Opening the blocked artery as quickly as possible helps save heart muscle.  The less heart muscle damage, the better the chances of recovery.  The national benchmark (called "Door-to-Balloon Time") is to open the blocked artery within 90 minutes.  Montgomery Hospital is achieving a 100% compliance with this benchmark, with an average Door-to-Balloon time of less than 60 minutes!

Montgomery Hospital ranks among the top 10% of hospitals nationally for speed in treating heart attack victims. We consistently outperform state and national benchmarks and have achieved a 99% angioplasty success rate.  We use state-of-the-art technology including cardiac catheterization, cardiac anioplasty and stenting, and balloon pump procedures not offered at nearby hospitals.   We perform both diagnostic and elective or primary cardiac catheterization, diagnosising and treating potentially life-threatening abnormalities.
